Students at an early age have trouble understanding geography. Therefore, I have created this project where I send a character my students already know and love around the world. I send Curious George to friends abroad, friends on vacation, friends on their honeymoon, and I take him with me whenever I travel. Geography becomes more tangible and real when students make the connection and see the same Curious George that was in our classroom, traveling all over the world.
